under bare benbulben's head, W B Yeats headstone
This is a negative sandwitch. I had taken many shots of ben bulben and one or two of W B Yeats headstone at Drumcliff in Co. Sligo. http://www.discoverireland.ie/Search-Results/Details.aspx?touristItemID=49132
The N15 along there is another great bike road, One day in the dark room I thought, why not try putting one neg on top of the other and printing. Let me tell you that was a royal pain. Trying to line them up and then the printing. I think the final exposure was about a minute with a lot of burning in on the clouds in the upper left of the print. Every time I print this its slightly different

the old wier, ridge pool ballina Ireland
this has now been replaced by a new wier, just above the famous ridge pool in ballina. it was a three second exposure,on color film then printed for 20 seconds at grade 3 black an white paper. , came out ok but as usual I would prefer better
Dun Briste or Down Patrick north Mayo Ireland
Shot I took on the wild north mayo coast. The cliffs and the atlantic ocean are incredible there, I just love the area. It is so wild and raw during a storm. I must try to get the water shooting through the blow holes during a storm, the down side is that its kinda dangerous out there during a good storm. plus its a good road for a bike ride. The ceide fields neolithic http://www.museumsofmayo.com/ceide.htm site is just west of here and the village of Ballycastle is close by
in the beginning
I always had a thing for photography, but never moved to the great new technology of digital. Don't get me wrong, I will use a digital camera but have not got a DSLR yet. Sometimes I envy the ease and instant gratification of digital, at least you know that you got something , whereas with the film you dont know what you got until you develop the roll. (well i dont, im not that good) I should shoot some more but 'm lazy so thats my excuse , and I'm sticking to it.
first blog of nonsense
Well I was told to start a blog on photography by suze the artist who owns this blog http://thepanachepixie.blogspot.com/ so she is to blame for this being inflicted on the world
